The Mile High Mountain Music Festival has been going on since Thursday, January 25th. It is a three-day music festival in Lead, SD. There is live music from local Black Hills artists, games, flannel & flame party and much more! After a fantastic afternoon of cross country skiing at the Sunny Meadows trail, we headed over to the Stampmill Saloon to grab a drink with some friends before the Winterfest Parade and fireworks display! I ordered the Old Abe hot toddy and it was just delightful! The saloon had a fun atmosphere and my friends who ate there said the food was yummy! After we finished our drinks, we headed outside to watch the beautiful fireworks display. That was the highlight of the evening for me! One of the things I love about living in the Black Hills is the community atmosphere! As we were outside we saw a mom with her two kids sledding IN THE STREET! The City of Lead blocked off half of a steep city street and left the snow so families could enjoy sledding together!
