My new favorite apple sauce recipe is so very simple. I love it because it is SO easy to throw together and a relatively fast way to use up a ton of apples. My mom and neighbor were nice enough to give us a whole slew of delicious apples so I tweeted the recipe I found off of Pinterest and the results were divine! Recipe:
Step 1 - I used all organic apples where no pesticides or anything were used to grow them. So I left the skin on, cored and cut each apple into 1/8th. If you are using store bought apples I would peel them. Apples have a ton of chemicals on the skin and you don’t want that in your body, so though it’s more work, it is healthier to not eat the skin or regular apples. Step 2 - In your Instapot, add: 1 cup water 1 tblsp lemon juice 1 tsp cinnamon Step 3 - Add apples and mix until evenly coated. You want enough apples to fill the pot to 2/3rd full. Step 4 - Set Instapot to manual, high pressure for 8 minutes. Once the time is done manually release the pressure. Step 5 - the apple sauce will last in the fridge for 7 - 10 days unless you can it. I enjoyed it best warm! Blog post written by Amy Karras Unnamed Adventures
