For Halloween this year we decided to dress up as the undead. The name of our duo costume was “Deadman’s Hand” which is Wild Bill Hickok’s famous poker hand when he was shot at Saloon 10 in 1876. The hand was two pair of black A’s and 8’s but the 5th card is unknown and highly debated. There are a variety of costume contests with some big prize money, so people really get into it! This is our second year competing and we went all out this year to try and win! We tied for fourth place at the Cadillac Jack’s costume contest and won $300!
We cut down our Christmas tree on Saturday and got this awesome tree that had a ton of boughs we wouldn’t be needing. So I decided to make a wreath for our front door.
I started by cutting the boughs down to size and aligning them into a circular shape so I could start wiring them together. My boyfriend and I went to Deadwood, SD for the annual Deadweird event! There is some big money to be made with the costume contests so of course we wanted to dress up! Below is the transformation! I even included a time lapse video on how I did my boyfriend's makeup! Our final look vs our inspiration!
