My Best Friend!

I was raised with four Labradors for most of my life. I enjoyed having one or two around and didn’t mind taking care of them too much. But my sister was always the one all the dogs loved. And she was really good with dogs and very patient…I was not! When I was younger, taking care of that many dogs was a pain. Making sure they had enough exercise, food, water and cleaning their kennel wasn’t something I enjoyed.

If you are looking for a beautiful place to take your family for some lake time, Angostura  Recreation Area is a great option! Located at the southeast edge of the Black Hills on the Cheyenne River, 10 miles southeast of Hot Springs off US Hwy 385/18. This reservoir has a lot to offer, with beautiful sand beaches, great camping spots, boating, fishing and much more!

My boyfriend, Jake, and I decided that this year we wanted to go to Yellowstone and see the sights but also do some backcountry hikes, because I mean, why not, right? I try to always face my fears and not be held back by what could happen, because that is no way to live life. Yeah, that is sure great in theory but when push comes to shove…I don’t want to get eaten by a bear! So, we decided to “wing it” on this trip and just fly by the seat of our pants. There was just too much to see and do to try and plan it all out. Thank God we didn’t plan everything otherwise it would have been super stressful.
