Brunch is my favorite weekend meal! Our go to place, especially when we have guests in from out of town, is Tally's Silver Spoon located in downtown Rapid City. There normally is a wait so definitely call ahead! Reading about the history of Tally's is super interesting so check that out here.
My fiance and I were not at Tally's for brunch though, it is restaurant week here in Rapid City so we wanted to check out the dinner menu. We sat at the bar since the place was packed and we didn't have a reservation. Our bartender was awesome and really helped make the experience more fun. The service at Tally's is always good!
We opted for the "Indecision Menu" which is where you pick how many courses you want and it's essentially a chef's choice meal! We choose the three course option since it was on special for restaurant week. The pictures shown above are from each course, the soup, salad and entree. My favorite, BY FAR, was the seared elk! Holy yumminess! The combination of flavors from the sauces and vegetables made the dish just delightful! It was so fun to be able to try something new with each course. Tally's is a great date night place for sure!
There was live music as well. Anna Robins was playing and I really enjoyed listening to her sing as we ate our meal. I really love the music scene that is here in the Black Hills. There are really some talented people! If you haven't been to Summer Nights you absolutely have to go! It is in downtown Rapid City at Main Street Square, every Thursday night, during the summer. There are different local bands playing, food and dancing in the street. Tons of people come and it is a really fun time!
But I digress! Check our Tally's Silver Spoon the next time you are here...you won't be disappointed!
For the love of travel and new adventures, we live our lives for the next dream fulfilled!
